Today, we had a prenstation about "Hanife". It was so nice because they did not do any kind of forcing to ask chosen people:)))In briefly it's summary: Hanife murdered and then there was a ritual which was doing by women and children throw stones to the body of Hanife. I guess they did it because Hanife was evil and totaly wrong. There was flashbacks from Hanife's memory which was about Hasan who was her first. Hasan wanted to take gold coin from Hanife and after that Hasan left Hanife by herself because he went to Germany to work. Hanife wanted to take revenge from him but she did not do that. She murdered by Ahmet, Karali and Mustafa.
Because of traditions people would not kill anyone, It is not fair. People could not do that any actions like killing people to be able to protect their honesty. People's honesty is not directly relating with external forces. I mean by saying external forces such as gossip...These thing are really bad but customarily these things are acceptable. I really do not get anything because there is no way to out.

11. I have a dream
Today, I listened again Martin Luther King Junior's speech. Suddenly I realized the speech fulfilled with emotion because when he was saying " I have a dream" sentence, people ,who were listening him, acclaimed him after his saying. I have no idea about you could get what I'm trying to say.:))I hope you could get.
Because in his speech I think If they could accept all unfair things which was happening in that period, these things could happen again, again and all over again. However, If they could not have acquiescence, they could break prejudices and they could live in better conditions even feel comfortable. His speech is the first step of these will's. He encourage people to be able get their own rights because there is nothing more or less between black and white human being in the world. Meanwhile I really do not like to say white and black men/women because It recalls me only colour names. It is bothering I guess classifying people in order to look their skin colour.
One of my classmates mentioned in her blog page. Simge supports that black men had to look like as a tough men in order to get respect in society in briefly. I totaly agree with her ideas about black men. They had bad history. They had to look like as a strong man. Violence is not a good way. As Martin Luther says in his text " Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love. It destroys community and makes brotherhood impossible." Freedom depends on nonviolent resistance.
Violence is cowardly and they should look like tough guys because violence was appeared in their lives as you know. However, violence is easy way.

10. A party down at the square
While I was reading the story, I felt so bad because somebody had suffering from torture and people, who were watching him, was having fun from the scene.I still could not belive people could be frozen and emoutionless like them and I could not understand why they were doing that. In the story there was racism, violence, nationalism, lack of justice, egoism, voyeurism. The story was telling from first person who was white and southern. The main thing ,which I was affected from it, is when narrator saw nigger's burned fingers, he said I would not eat barbeque. I think it helps to get picture about the rate of racism in that period. Even white person disgusted from the scene, It would be really disgusting and dehumanizing. After they burned the man, cyclone was appeared. I guess writer wanted to show us the picture about racism is bad and If you wanted to do that, you would be punished from god because you are only human, not god and as a humanbeing you could not decide which one is superiror than other.

9. 16th of march/ Birthday
Today is my birthday:)) but I went all classes today.;) In eng102, we learnt how we can prepare seminar presentation questions in a funny way. There are three useful ways but I could not share. It is a kind of secret.:)) I liked so much.:)Each group prepared a question. After that, these groups asked the question to the class. It was so funny.;)The second hour, we discussed Martin Luther King J.'s article. Non-violent resistance is a way to solve the problematic issue about acquiescence. Violence is cowardly.( This is another important detail of his article)

8. research paper topics
While I was choosing my sources, I tried to be careful about their information and how I could relate them. That's why I did a brainstorm after I read quickly the articles and then I did my draft outline and then I decide which one I need to pick up. Whatever I did my choices. I choose honour killing in Turkey because I realize that subject is my topic. I feel I could explain it in my words.:))That was my first impression about the question. By the way you know I could not choose the topic and it was tough part for me. After that I searched my topic but there are not many articles to be able to explain my idea about the topic. Because of that reason I had some problems but I think I get over them. Firstly, I felt panic and then I tried to understand my problem about the search after that I choosed my sources. I wish the final draft would be better because I try to do my best.:)))

7.AFI's List SABRINA
I watched that film. It was lovely because it's script fulls with love.:))It's subject is poor woman falls in love with rich guy but actually in that movie it is not simple like that.:) Sabrina was living with Larrabee family but she is daughter of their chauffeur. She falls in love with David Larrabee who is little boy of the Larrabee family and playboy.( he dates with many woman)She went to be able to forget David to Paris and she worked for Vogue magazine. After A few years she turned back and then David realized Sabrina. When he noticed Sabrina, David's older workholic brother Linus realized that he fears that David would not marry with Elizabeth. I realized that I could say anything about Elizabeth. Elizabeth is the daughter of a big company's owner and Linus's company and Elizabeth's father's company would coalesce because of that reason, David could not like any other girl like Sabrina.
Whatever Linus did, Sabrina falls in love with him and he removed Sabrina's attention from David. There was a scene which took place camelia I liked it so much.:) When Sabrina learned Linus's purpose, she wanted to turn back to Paris but she did not know Linus falled in love with her and he followed her to be able to purpose marriage.:)) By the way I have to say Harrison Ford was playing Linus.:) Whatever he cathes Sabrina and purposed her. Now,if you are guessing the answer yes or no, you should watch it because I could not say:)))
I liked the music of the movie and Sting performed one song of the movie.
