5.Streotyping People/ The Ugly Truth
With my words, streotype is putting people in the box which has strict borders. If you are doing that, you would think in the way of streotyped thoughts. For example; like the texts which we read, says that all americans are rich. So, if you see an American, you'll think she/he is economically better than you. However, it is not good because if you see someone who is American, if she/he is not economically good. Do you consider he/she is as an American? I think this is the problematic issue which has to be solved. Like the text questioned streotyping even it is positive, are positive streotypes reaaly good or they only get the expectations higher? My idea about that, because of expectations are getting higher, if people do not feel that you have not correspond their expectations, may be or probably they would not be nice as before. It is weird. Actually we talked about putting people in categorize unconsciously like looking their apperiance. Firstly we see people's gender/sex and then having some guesses about it's age and the last one ,which people have a look or check, is it's race. I learned these things are called " salience priciples". I try to consider many ideas about streotyping and i decided that is not good even it's positive and that's why i'll try to be neutral about people.

It's nice to see you're immediately applying the things we discussed in the lesson! ;) It will be interesting to see if your thoughts about stereotyping change throughout the semester.
